HOW TO MAKE A WIRED KEYBOARD WIRELESS?

Converting your wired keyboard to a wireless one is not as hard or dangerous of a process. The power outage ends when you disconnect the wire from your computer, and using the screwdriver requires no tension! Below are steps that can be followed for an easy conversion:

Step No.1

Shut down your computer and unplug it from the wall. Disconnect any external devices such as a mouse or keyboard if connected by wire, then turn off all of its lights to signal you’re done using it for now.

Step 2:

Connect the microcontroller to your keyboard. Make sure you’ve chosen a compatible USB protocol for your device and that it’s connected properly, or this will not work!

Step 3:

In this step, you will be connecting the radio transmitter to your microcontroller. You should ideally go with Radiotronix and Atmel for their transmitters at 433.92 MHz as well as Micro-Controllers that work together well with those two products, respectively.

Step 4:

Connect a USB cable from your computer to the microcontroller. You can power it with an internal battery or external power supply, depending on preference.

Step 5:

Connect the transmitter to your computer. The signal should be at 433.92 MHz and compatible with both the radio receiver connected on your microcontroller, as well as any other pieces of hardware that might hook up to it like a keyboard or mouse!

Step 6:

The next step would be to turn on the microcontrollers and radio transmitters on both your computer and keyboard. Connect your power cord to the computer, then restart it. This should do all that’s needed! You can use your newly created wireless mouse in the same way as you were using a wired one; if there are any updates for drivers or even new ones necessary, you’ll find them either by looking at what came with this mouse when it was purchased or going online where they are always available these days!

The problems facing while making a USB Keyboard wireless?

I should first explain the problems in making a wireless USB device, like a wireless keyboard. Well, the main problem is that such devices use the radio frequency (RF) communication method. All wireless communications send out electromagnetic waves from and to the transmitter to the receiver(s).

The electromagnetic waves sent out by the transmitter will indeed interfere with other nearby electronics as well as human beings. It is not surprising that such interference often occurs in many IT environments today. RF communication may cause several kinds of interference, including but not limited to:

1) Interference with nearby electronic systems.

2) Interference with human beings due to a High-Voltage Electromagnetic environment.

3) Legal restrictions due to the use of frequencies that are allocated for communication purposes only and not permitted for data communications If you do not like interference to occur in your IT environment, then a wireless USB device is probably not an option.

For those who have never heard about RF interference problems: 1,) Machines such as computer mice or keyboards tend to use a 2.4 GHz band for their wireless communication at most; they typically transmit at low power levels, high-frequency signals (up to three Megahertz).

They are generally used under short distances, such as less than 10 meters away from the receiver. The transmission rate is relatively slow, with a typical throughput of 500 kilobits per second (Kbps).

Therefore, strong electromagnetic waves are not generated by these devices;

2) Industrial wireless products such as wireless sensors and controllers tend to use 868 MHz, 915 MHz, or 2.4 GHz band for their wireless communication at most; they typically transmit at high power levels (up to 600 milliwatts) with higher frequency signals (up to 1.7 Megahertz). They are generally used under long distances such as greater than 10 meters away from the receiver. The transmission rate is relatively fast, with a typical throughput of 1 megabit per second (Mbps). Therefore, strong electromagnetic waves are generated by these devices;

3) Hand-held devices, such as mobile phones and MP3 players, operate in 900 MHz, 1.5 GHz, or 5.8 GHz bands, among others; they typically transmit at low-power levels (up to 0.6 watts) at a very high-frequency signal (up to 3 Gigahertz). They are generally used under short distances, such as less than 10 meters away from the receiver. The transmission rate is relatively fast, with a typical throughput of about 2 Mbps. Therefore, strong electromagnetic waves are generated by these devices;

4) Public safety wireless products operating in 800 MHz, 900 MHz, or 1.5 GHz bands transmit at low power levels (less than 250 milliwatts) and high-frequency signal (up to 7 Megahertz), but they are usually used under long distances such as greater than 100 meters away from the receiver(s). The transmission rate is relatively low, with a typical throughput of about 150 Kbps. Therefore, weak electromagnetic waves are generated by these devices. The RF electromagnetic waves will affect a person who stands nearby the transmitter of such a device.

Now back to our topic: USB keyboard communication operates typically in 2.4 GHz band at low power levels and high-frequency signals for sending data from the Keyboard to PC; they are generally used under short distances such as less than 10 meters away from the receiver(s), which makes them vulnerable to interference issues that exist in most IT environments today (due to extensive usage of wireless systems). Therefore, due to all factors mentioned above, I think making a genuine wireless keyboard is hard. But there are many ways to reduce effects caused by interference before and during data transmission.

Conclusion:

If you want to make wired keyboard wireless, there are many ways that can be done. You may need to change the configuration of your computer or buy an adapter for the keyboard. Some keyboards will use Bluetooth technology and others use radio frequency signals from WiFi connections in order to connect wirelessly with devices like computers, tablets, phones, and more without using cables at all! For those who have never tried making their USB Keyboard Wireless before but would like to give it a try, we’ve put together this list of benefits as well as some common problems people face when they do so. We hope this information helps lead you down the right path towards success and innovation today!
